Meet Kim Brainard
The brains behind the Agile Brain Group operation, Master Facilitation Trainer, dog mama, and #vanlifer.
"We're anything but conventional." That's one of the first things you'll learn about Agile Brain Group when you speak with its founder, Kim Brainard.
When Kim first came on the scene, it was clear that Agile training and education were stuck in the dark ages. "You would attend these trainings where someone in a suit would stand and talk at you for what felt like days until you comatose and your eyes bled." said Kim, "what we were learning was so important, but it was clear that the lessons we were learning were going to fall on deaf ears because people were struggling to stay engaged with the content."
So Kim set out to create her own training, one that involved her taking the traditional approach to teaching — PowerPoint presentations and long-winded monologues — dousing it in gasoline and tossing a match.
This "part-time" stand-up comedian, full-time trainer, and lifelong learner reimagined how students learn. By creating a virtual whiteboard playground for students to collaborate, learn Agile principles, and solve real-life problems, she has been able to change how professionals think on a global scale.
"Kim is great. I really enjoyed her class. The course is super engaging, and the process of unlearning was really drilled into me. I so appreciate it." this testimony from Kim's previous student, Bille Le, is just one of what feels like a million different outpourings of love and admiration for the impact her workshops have. Kim shares, "I've been called the people whisperer because, by the end of class, students are opening up to me about really personal, deep things. It's like how I teach and how I support my students opens the door for deeper growth and acknowledgements. It's a really amazing thing to see."
Professional development is never easy. To do it effectively requires change — and change is uncomfortable. Kim creates a safe environment that allows you to engage your mind and spark meaningful conversations, allowing the information to stick. "At the end of the day, I teach students how to think differently," Kim says. By teaching professionals how to think differently, they can change businesses. By changing the way businesses think, you can change the world."
Work with Kim to turn yourself or your team into your biggest competitive advantage.
